国外流行的 Puppy linux 发行版

国外流行的Puppy派生版本很多，大部分发行版可以在以下三个地方找到：

下面的Puppy发行版可能在国外比较流行，因为我大多数没时间去用，只能通过论坛的点击量或回帖数大概估计一下:（有兴趣使用的请安装半步中文体验包测试一下，如有问题，请跟帖反馈。）

upup-476即2号,spup-432即3号,slaxerpup-412即4号均用过，分别使用了不同的中文包，2使用了4.2的最新包和N显卡的pet包，在7750+780G+va1616w+rtl8180无线网卡的机器和thinkpad R61上均使用正常，4因无法使用iwl4965无线网卡，试用过4.12的中文包后就弃用了，3可在thinkpad R61上使用最新的半步包。感谢楼主的半步包，好用的很呀，别请教如何可将半步包中的中文字体改为文泉驿的正黑和点阵宋体，这样的字体在液晶屏上显示得很完美。

到文泉驿官方网站下载文泉驿正黑字体包，解压，将其中的字体文件wqy-zenhei.ttf复制到/usr/share/fonts/default/TTF下。
如果你安装了半步中文包，wqy-microhei-lite.ttf也会在这个文件夹里。
删除wqy-microhei-lite.ttf并运行：

mkfontdir /usr/share/fonts/default/TTF &&  mkfontscale /usr/share/fonts/default/TTF && fc-cache  -fv

再重启X就可以了

试了在dpup下用半步中文包，效果不错。upup好像已经不流行了。

若用 eee pc 的话，强烈推荐 puppeee。最近它一直在更新，配合这理的半步包，真是相得益彰。特别是安装在 sd card 或者 usb stick 上，安装和升级都十分方便。真要感谢puppeee和这里中文包的开发者！

BrowserLinux，从硬盘（非U盘）启动后，再安装此中文包，当提示“完整汉化”或“最小汉化”时，无论选哪个，过会都会提示“无法找到initrd.gz，脚本退出”，请问是什么原因？

原因已找到，可能是汉化脚本会到/mnt/home下找initrd文件吧？保存pupsave后再装就没事了。
